I purchased this blender in August, 2011. It has good power and I like the glass container. The only problem is, one part is way under designed for the application. There is a black plastic ring which attaches the blade housing to the metal shroud. It's hard to describe its function unless you had this blender in front of you. The point is, the little plastic thing has very small (like tiny) mounting ears for the screw to attach it to the shroud. These ears have now broken so the blender is useless. As a design engineer, I cannot believe a blender this expensive depends on such a poorly designed part to function properly. I am going to return this product to Amazon, and I would advise against purchasing this item.

i was so surprised how fast i got this blender in the mail, and it works great i use it mostly for shakes and smoothies and its perfect, its not too loud either, the only reason why i gave it 4 stars its because its a little bit hard to take off the lid, but besides that its a really good blender.

I loved this blender so much I got a second one to give as a wedding gift to one of my best friends. It's so great, she actually ended up having the exact same one! It looks nice in your kitchen (isn't huge - but is just the perfect size for whatever you want to blend), runs smoothly and is great for making smoothies and all other things! Highly recommend this item.
