At first it would take up to three minutes to blend the fruit and it would still leave chunks of ice. I tolerated it. Then the blender started to cut out randomly after only a few seconds of being at the highest setting. Within two months of buying it the container started to fill up with smoke and ruined the food! Was I blending rocks? No, peeled bananas - the kind of thing I could mash with a spoon. Consumers beware. This thing looks sleek but it is so poorly made that I consider Black & Decker to be unethical. This model cost me $60 and was one of the more expensive blenders at Walmart. It had fewer features than other blenders so I assumed that the high cost meant quality construction. Wrong. I'm sure that most of the blenders at Goodwill would outlast this... Read more |
